ANIMATION PROGRAMS

For most cases, I would not recommend going out and buying all this animation
software. This stuff is professional quality and its' price tags show it!
:) But hey, you might want to take a look at them anyway! Basically the
only thing you need to animate is a stack of paper and a lightdesk. Flipping
lets you see how it moves, and you can scan your work in and make a movie
out of it with gifcon (very low tech) or for better quality try a post program
like Adobe Premeire. I started out just using gifcon cuase that was all
I had! Now I use Premiere. Please note however that if you intend to add
backgrounds, and do complicated post that you'll have to get a professional
program. I'm using Premeire solely for pencil test work. Another program
I use alot is Animation Stand (when I'm at school) It's not good for pencil
testing becuase of the time and effort required for a full-speed run, but
for final animation, its great. (keep in mind you must have a powerfull
computer!!)
