- This is a brand new, 100% cotton hadajuban. It's full length and one
piece with sewn in ties for convenience, so you don't need any more
pieces or ties to wear this. This is an 'LL' size, rare in Japan. It
measures 45 1/2" across from sleeve tip to sleeve tip, is 23 3/8"
across at the shoulders, 55" around at the waist and 47 1/4"
long from the base of the collar in back to the bottom of the lace.
The lace at the bottom and the ends of the sleeves is an elegant yet
simple touch and this quality cotton will feel light next to your skin.
the hadajuban is the first garment put on before the nagajuban and the
kimono. In fact it takes its name from the Japanese word for skin, 'hada.'
Sometimes padding is worn under the hadajuban around the waist and/or
bust to create a straight line.
