How to Draw Links--

This is a list of sites that are more for beginning artists, some of them help you draw specific characters, but some just help out with basic drawing techniques. It's worth a look.

Ani-mato

Good site to find info on learning animation. Ani-mato goes over the basics of how a film is made and then gives you the technical information to do it. The best part of this site is the very in depth tutorials on USING and MAKING motors, animation stands and cameras and the like so that you can shoot your own film! Very informative!

Animatic Central-

Lots of great articles and interviews, as well as tutorials, great Glen Keane gallery, and a great collection of "hands" guides by various animators. VERY extensive links.

Brian Lemay's Site-

Mr. Lemay is an instructor at Sheridan Animation College in Canada, and his site is FULL of information as well as info on his courses and books.

The Character Animator- general tutorial and help site for animators

Animation Toolworks-

several articles and tutorials on getting started, storyboarding, working through a scene, etc.

The Cartoonist's Fountain of Knowledge

Tips and helpfull knowledge for cartoonists.

UCLA Animation Workshop---

I don't know much about their program, but I"ve heard their life drawing is really good (Glen Villpu). If you live near here, you might try taking some classes from them.

The Ultimate Disney Books Network

Didier Ghez' great history-angled animation website. You'll find interveiws with artists and animators as well as information on just about every Disney-related book ever written (I'm not kidding!)

Marc Spess' How-to Claymation

The best site I've found for people interested in the process of claymation (or stop-motion animation). Has info on the tools nessesary and the steps it takes. :) Very informative.

"At Last, Foam Puppet Fabrication Explained!"

Also related to stopmotion is this article from AWN dealing with foam puppet construction by Tom Brierton.

Animation: How To!

Cartoon Networks' "Animation: How To!" Its basically a walk through the process of idea to finished product. Such as storypitches, idea and brainstorming. Check it out, its illustrated and fun. ;)

MessyOpics' Animation Sheet--

Diagram of a EXSHEET (exposure sheet) For those who are unfamiliar with this, it is the sheet that organizes and labels how the action, dialogue and tracks will run. Animators working in the field must use them.
