How to Wear Women’s Combat Boots. Ah, the pitter-patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots.

Still on the hunt for some women’s combat boots and how to wear women’s combat boots.

Ah, the pitter-patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots.

– Mal from Firefly

I tried the All Saints Military Boots on this week at the store, the leather was really soft, and I think once the leather stretched a little they’d probably be really comfortable. but $299 is a lot for some boots that I’m not sure about. (EDIT: I did end up buying the AllSaints boots…!)
What I liked most about the All Saints Military Boots I tried on was that they were very slim looking, not nearly as chunky or bulky looking as my classic Dr Martens. The Dr Marten Triumph boots PROBABLY aren’t as chunky as mine, but that sole is still pretty thick.

I looked through zappos, endless, piperlime, fluevog, dr martens, born… etc… but if anyone has other suggestions on a leather classic combat-style boot, I’m all ears!

I want something that is not too chunky, have to come in US11 womens or the equivalent, really good quality that will be comfortable and last a long time.

What do you think I should go with?

River’s look like they’re the old Mad Max boots from london underground. i’m not sure they make those anymore. there used to be two types, those and then a style that had a metal front as well.

Might I suggest boots of the equestrian or riding style instead of combat boots if you like the look of something less chunky?

It’s spring so it’s a lot harder to find boots, but just a few months ago, the stores were packed with various styles of riding-inspired boots that look rugged, but more feminine than the combat boots you are referring to. Actually, a lot of the photos from your “inspiration” section are not even combat boots at all. Instead, they’re those ‘short’ riding boots…

I relaize that this post is like a month old so it might not be relavant any more, but try a military supply/army surplus store. They’d be in mens sizes, so getting a big enough size wouldnt be an issue, and they are built to last and not all that expensive.
My husband got a pair of jack boots when he was 18… he still has them and wears them and he’s 40 now
