Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball 2013

Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball 2013

I went to the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball last night and really enjoyed it!

I went in my Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Belle yellow ballgown (Broadway style). I actually hadn’t had a chance to wear this other than the photoshoot I did with my friend Annie over a year ago, so it was really fun to wear it in such a perfect venue. It seemed like a particularly good costume year which is my favorite part. I just love walking around and looking at everyones’ gorgeous costumes. I had a nutella and banana crepe at midnight. There were wonderful performances on multiple stages. A ton of my friends went, too, so I had a lovely time on all accounts.

There were actually at least 4 or 5 gorgeous versions of Belle there that evening! I was thrilled! (Me on the far right.) The Belle on the far left had met Susan Egan (the original Broadway Belle actress and the voice of Megara) so we had a fun conversation! The girl second from the left is the lovely “Evening Arwen” in her Once Upon a Time Belle. She’s also made an awesome Once Rumplestiltskin.

My friend Michelle in her gorgeous Rococo Chibi Moon (from Sailor Moon) costume! She made the dress and wig! She modified a Baby, the Stars Shine Bright choker and added a Kumacraft Sailor Moon necklace. SO PRETTY.

Another gorgeous Sailor Moon costume! Katie Mitchell (left) as Princess Serenity.

My friends Sheyne and Glenn and their friends came in a group as “Rococo Punk” which I think is just a fabulously fun idea. I wish I’d had time to do a Rococo Punk jacket and join them! Yum!

Me and Claire Hummel in her Rococo Punk! I love Claire’s art. She did those charming Historical Disney Princesses!

I LOVE these lovely Rococo Punk ladies! The one on the left had marvelously intentionally unfinished hems and edges.

The back of the lady on the right above.

Snow White ballroom dancing.

Oh my gosh! It’s a Claudia from Interview with a Vampire! She was having a blast!

Michelle’s (rare vintage) Chibi Moon wand!

More Rococo Punk!

This guy was really excited that I knew he was Quetzalcoatl. 🙂

A bird lady with beautiful embellishment on her back.

Look at this woman’s beautiful glowing ocean headdress!

Beautiful glowing dress!

A wolf in sheep’s clothing?

A blinged out version of Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar the Last Airbender!

My photo does not do this couple justice.

My friend Glenn in his Rococo Punk and his friend with a hookah! Glenn looks so dramatic in this photo, but really he’s a perfect gentleman who walked me to my car so I wouldn’t feel nervous walking alone at 2 am in giant ballgown. 🙂

My friend Chantal in her beautiful 18th century gown!

A giant dragonhead on the main stage!

So weird/funny to see friends of mine in these photos! Claire, Kate and Andrew (the rocco punk dude with the mohawk) always have made such fun costumes!!
