VOLKS SCHOOL HEADS

If you are able to attend a Dolpa, or go to a Volks store on a special day, you can sometimes go to a "Painting School". These are classes where you can be taught the basics of how to paint a head by a professional (often well-known) Volks artist. Often there are more people who want to take the class than they have spots for, so usually spots are chosen via lottery system.

If you are lucky enough to attend the class, you can buy one head (and the body to go with it if you wish.) All of these heads are exclusive to the School Classes. You can sometimes find them on Yahoo! Japan Auctions as well.

You can NOT get School Heads from Volks After Events, or any online sale on the Volks site, etc. They are also not available for purchase in Volks stores. The ONLY way to get a School Head is to take the class yourself, or to find one in the after market (being sold by someone who took the class.) In fact, often entry to the classes at Dolpas, etc, is by lottery as well,... and in addition to that, certain school heads are only available at painting classes at particular dolpa.... making some heads rather rare.
