Volks USA opened in Torrance, California (roughly near Los Angeles) in USA on November 20th, 2005. For more information see Volks official page.

• It is only open on the weekends, and is closed on some holidays. (We're not sure which ones.) Go see the opening schedule to see when they are open.
• Anyone can go to the Volks store in Torrance. You do not have to own any doll at all to go. You also do not have to own a Volks doll to go.
• Out of respect to Volks, it is polite not to bring a non-Volks ABJD to the store. Any type of Volks 1/6, DD or SD (of any size) is fine. Please respect Volks wishes, after they have gone to so much trouble to bring a store to the USA.
• You cannot try on wigs and outfits in the store regardless of what type of doll you have. The outfits are sealed and are marked as to what size doll they fit.
• The first floor is 1/6 scale dolls and matching accessories for them, including their dollfies, Century Models, Lost Angels, Who's That Girl (including Who's that Girl Boyfriends.) and more.
• The second floor is all sizes of SD and DD accessories (including FCS). This includes clothing, eyes, eyelashes, stringing and customization tools, furniture, optional parts, dress forms and all kinds of things.
• Volks has said that they will restock about once a month.
• There will be makeup classes and probably other classes in the future as well as additional invitation only events with one-offs for sale, etc.

• If you live in the USA and order from Volks international store they will ship to you from Torrance, not Japan, so you can save on shipping.

• You cannot make an advance reservation for doing FCS at the store. However, once you arrive at the store, you can go upstairs to put your name on the list. If there is no one waiting then you can go ahead and order your FCS. FCS orders are done in order of the list.
• You cannot get Sato exclusives at the USA store. There are no USA exclusives, the store is like a regular Tenshi-no-Sumika in Japan.
• You can EITHER pick it up in person after your doll is ready or have them ship it to you. Shipping is only from LA and VERY reasonable (2 dolls shipped at once is only around $20). Also, if you order 2 dolls they can either send them to you as they arrive or hold one for you until the other arrives.
• It takes 2 months because they create your doll for you in Japan with all the other FCSs.
