Debut: San Diego Comic Con 2011
Chieko is from the anime and manga, Jellyfish Princess (Kuragehime) which is a very cute series about slightly tragic otaku girls. Each of the girls in the show is an otaku for a different specific thing and Chieko is a kimono and traditional Japanese doll otaku. How could I resist?
I tried to pic a subdued but attractive kimono ensemble that I thought that Chieko would appreciate since she changes her kimono in the show often. (I didn’t try to recreate a specific outfit.)
I wore this to SDCC for fun with my friend Annie as Tsukimi (the Jellyfish otaku) and Lydia as Kuraku (her trendy crossdressing friend). Photos mostly by Kate (Makkura).
