Zone- Front 18th Century Gown
Started 2010
Debut: GBACG Evening at Petit Trianon 2011
Started in the Burnley and Trowbridge’s ““Quarter Back…Folded Front or Drawstring” An 18th century Gown of the Last Quarter” class. The style of the dress and time period is roughly like the Duchess of Devonshire (featured of course in the movie with Keira Knightly, The Duchess)
Completed for Greater Bay Area Costumer’s Guild’s Evening at Petit Trianon Party at The Bellevue Club, Oakland, CA, July 2011.
Handsewn. My fabric is a teal-magenta shot silk taffeta.
Currently worn over chemise and bumroll made in the Burnley and Trowbridge class and JPRyan earlier 18th century stays, I’d like to refit it a bit to wear over later 1780’s half-boned stays.
