Prince Philip Sleeping Beauty Costume

Debuted: Disney Halloween 2010

I made this as a pair for my Sleeping Beauty costume. Mitch had a lot of fun and got a lot of positive feedback when we wore them. 🙂 It’s hard to see, but there’s a little embroidery on his tunic. His grey tunic is made out of a soft moleskin-like fabric. The cape collar is heavily interfaced. His hat is made of felt. The cape, shirt and tunic were all heavily modified from other patterns. (I’m sorry, I don’t remember what patterns I used as the base.) Since my husband and I have the same shoe size, he borrowed a pair of my black high boots (from my Andre costume) for it. They suited well! He’s also wearing thick dance tights in brown.

We had a ton of fun going to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween at Disneyland and getting photos with Sleeping Beauty’s castle. My husband is a great sport and really enjoyed wearing the costume.
