This is a very very special doll to me! My mother originally helped to pay for my first MSD Mika, but while I loved the doll very much, the body posing frustrated me, and I’d always hoped she had paler skin. When Volks came out with new MSD FCS with the new bodies and snow skin, I knew what I had to do! I named her after my unbelievably sweet and kind late grandmother, Mommy Vi. I still feel that she is the same doll that I originally had though, just the way she should be.
With friend’s help, I placed an order for her and then picked her up in Japan when I went to Japan for the first time in Febuary 2005. I then visited my first ever Volks store with her, Tenshi No Sato, and had my first Omakae (coming home “blessed” ceremony) with her. The President of Volks, Mikey and several other extremely sweet Volks employees helped and watched her ceremony. It was done in both English and Japanese! eek! Ms. Sato read the english translation to me after the Doll Advisor (in his red cape) read the Japanese parts.
I still can’t believe how nice Volks was to me. That day at Tenshi No Sato is one of the best memories I’ve had.
In her original form, my doll met Volks when they came to San Deigo Comic-Con a few years ago. It was the same exact sweet people who came to Comic-Con who met her again in her current form to help with her Omakae ceremony at Volks.
