Jen Thompson and many others started making historic outfits out of this lovely Indienne printed curtain at Lowe’s by Waverly! Since prints like this are a bit hard to find and this was an easy way to get it, many people joined along and made outfits out of the same fabric. The fabric is a cotton sateen.
My 18th century jacket was made out of one package of curtains. I based my jacket pattern off the pink floral anglaise I had made previously and modified the bottom of it a bit inspired by a dress in the Janet Arnold book. I trimmed it in a little left over white striped cotton voile I had from my Chemise a la Reine. It’s lined in linen.
If I do another similar jacket, I’d like to make the peplum in the back fuller. The red petticoat is the same I used for my Chemise a la Reine.
