I had a great time at Meltdown Comic’s “The Doctor Is In” Doctor Who artshow opening last night! If you’re a fan of Doctor Who, you have to go check it out!
The show entrance was through the TARDIS! Here’s me and my friend Michelle.
I didn’t take a ton of pictures, so you can see more of the pieces here on the event Facebook page.
Some adorable Amy, River and Clara cosplayers showed up!

Making bow ties and fezzes next to the balloon TARDIS.
This quilt surely took forever to make. All of it was from custom printed fabric. Each TARDIS had a Doctor or Companion inside and even the inside of the doors were printed fabric.

An awesome TARDIS that is “bigger on the inside”!

This piece you could view with 3D glasses!

The “Empty Child” mask under glass below moves! Eep!

It’s an awesome show with a huge variety of styles and creative ideas. There was a huge turnout last night! There were over 100 artists involved, “Sonic Screwdrivers” to drink, fish n chips from a food truck and DJ Liz O! I was really happy to be a part of it. Go see it while it’s on display! The show goes until Nov 23rd.
Here’s another look at my 9th Doctor and Rose piece:

I wore my new casual TARDIS dress for the opening! I made it using Made by Rae’s Washi dress pattern.

I made a Police Box cockade pin to wear on it.

And the pocket is the “Free for Use of Public” panel from the TARDIS. I wore my Haenuli galaxy tights with it.

Squeeee!!! Everyone looks fabulous — and WOW, that is some AMAZING art on display!!
😀
So fabulous! I should take the boys, sounds like a show they’d like.
loved your outfit and your piece!!! <3 AND LOVE YOU!
Do you happen to know who did the travel poster? I went today to see the show and sadly they let people take their purchases before the show was over and that one wasn’t there! So ridiculous! and on the 50th anniversary too!
Hi, Leslie! I’m sorry but I don’t know, you might try contacting the gallery to ask?
